Details
Opal is a very special alpaca, being the offspring of 2 recessive white parents. What the heck does that mean??? It means that she possesses the elite fleece qualities of whites: amazing brightness, crimp organization, micro bundles & high curvature. Being totally recessive, though, gives her the ability to take those highly sought after white qualities, and bred to color should produce color most of the time. Likewise, bred to white should produce white.
Opal's genetic background is interesting & diverse with Lenox Lewis, a top Evander son & The Saint on moms side. Opal's sire is our own white banner winning herdsire, The Situation who is a fiber MACHINE.
